What a Banana

I basically talked with Kwang and apologized for everything, and I mean everything. He literally made me point out everything even things I don't remember, and things I didn't do and apologize. What did he do? Just that, and no apologies on his part. FINE, as long as I can repent and take back what I said about him, or the things I've done. Really, I felt free after that.

Well, I jsut found out he's been hanging out with friends of (ours) and they never invite me and a reason why is because he told them not to. Why? It would be awkward.

Well, I'm not angry, but maybe I feel more bitter than anything else. I've decided to shun him in all the things I do. Not literally, but I'm going to stop asking MY friends to invite him to anything and let them decide.

This man is stubborn, hypocritical, and he's also selfish. Ah, the things I dislike the most.

Well, seems like it's just me going to Baptism class, but that's okay, it does take time and I commend David and Leslie for their decision.

BTW, I love randomly talking to my friends for hours long and not only is it just about school and 'What should we do tomorrow?" but also about our families and our lifestyles.

Anyway, God Bless Everyone!

Thought Curry

What's on my mind:
I want to know my friends more, especially those that I don't really know-know..haha.

Yes, Leslie, we should talk more. By the way, I didn't finish my sentence. What I meant by, I don't want to be your Christian friend, I also want to be your mentor and brother, and vice versa--although you would be a sister and not a brother of course..

Positive Report
  • With some prayer and persistence, I am able to drop my 1st period Psychology Class and move 7th period Statistics to 2nd, and AP Government to First! This is so I can attend Adult school from 3-5:00 so I don't have to miss Choir Rehearsals, and rush to La Puente and still be late.
  • I slept from 5:00-9:30 and I feel really good now after the lack of sleep and sores all over from the hiking and boxing last weekend.
  • Winter Formal Pictures came out, although I need to get them from Caitlin.

Prayers
  • Permit Test this Friday.
  • Baptism Class with David and Leslie this Sunday after church.
  • Birthday Hang-out this Sunday.
  • Production Choir will be performing at Cabaret Night and also in competition at the Arcadia Competition in three weeks. We only have a few hours of rehearsing left.
  • The Band room to be cleaned.
  • My phone bill! haha, stupid texting! *Do not text me, it costs money!
  • Conquerors for Christ is growing! I hope this is not only a trend, but also widespread in this community.
Facing your giants.
  • Max Lucado talks about how each of us face our own giants in our own lives.
  • What are some of the giants you've faced?
  • Did you focused more on God or the problem itself?
  • Are you thinking about God's strength more than your own weaknesses throughout the day?

Seeking Love

A girl should be so lost in God that a guy will have to be seeking the Lord to find her.

1 Corinthians 13

Love is patient,
Love is kind.
It does not envy,
It does not boast,
It is not proud.
It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
But rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
Always trusts,
Always hopes,
Always perseveres,
LOVE NEVER FAILS.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

'Love Never Ends'

1 Corinthians 13:4-13
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

St. Valentine the Martyr
What's the true story of
St. Valentine?
Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Uber Tuesday

Uber Tuesday!

I expected poll working to be the thing old people would enjoy because obviously old people enjoy doing things that bore people to death. I was eventually proven wrong as the day progressed, more tasks were required, more people came in, and more fun blossomed in the little cafetorium of Hillgrove Education Center. I also had the luck of working at a double precinct polling place and I can proudly say, I was an Orange Table Multilingual Poll Worker slash clerk.

There, I worked with the Bradshaw family; Debra, Joseph, Elizabeth and those who weren’t part of this family; Nancy and Lisa. The whole family lived a few blocks from me and they were long time residents of the heights, also Los Altos High Alumni. As we worked, I turned on Michael Bubble music. I was hoping it would appeal to the older gals in my poll working team, and it sure did. We started singing and dancing a bit as voters came in smiling and happy to vote. It seemed more like a get together for the whole neighborhood more than anything else.

I realized that only 1/3 of the people showed up for elections. We went through 3 stacks of Democrat ballots, one pack of Republican ballots, ONE Peace and Freedom Ballot, and One American independent, and half a stack of Nonpartisan ballots. I was the youngest, of course, but I also knew more about everything and I was a fast learner and a worker of course. At several times in the day, I manned two, three, four posts at the same time: sign in, name cross-out, ballots, stickers and the machine. I also had to do provisional ballots since a lot of people had their parties switched which made a few people irritated, but most were quite happy they’re voting.

The day passed by rather quickly and I had a lot of fun talking about what I do, and what everyone does outside of this little voting heaven of ours. The many alumni that were part of the polling teams graduated from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and most recent years in 2000, I had my laptop with me, so we watched Los Altos videos and listened to music while they talk about their experiences in the past here in the Heights and at Los Altos. That was quite interesting having all these generations working together to fulfill each other’s civic duty WHILE reminiscing on the history of Hacienda Heights and their alma mater. A handful of people really want their stickers when they vote, but there weren’t any huge problems with people threatening to kill you for sticker, overall, that was the grand prize of voting. It’s not being able to be heard, it’s really about that half inch sized sticker that you can affix to your chest as a badge to tell the world that you count,

As night fell, crowds of people began showing up to vote bringing with them families. It was a good thing families came altogether so it was easier to mark everyone with the same last name off, but it’s was also a bad thing since making sure they signed under their name only was something that held the line back. As we finished up checking in and helping the last few voters with the voting procedures; last voter came in at 7:56pm, we screamed “The Polls Are Now Closed!!!!” out to the deserted parking lot and dismantled everything within five minutes. We ripped ballots and counted them, packed everything up, and finished everything in an hour. Overall, this was a day I’d remember. I had no regrets contrary to my previous premonitions of poll working. In fact, I am looking forward to fulfilling these duties whenever possible and to cash in an extra bounty every time.

SUPER TUESDAY

This is my favorite picture of the day! This little girl was pretending she was voting while her mother voted in the other booth.

Yes yes, McCain and Clinton. I much rather have Romney and Obama..

My Mom voted for Hillary, and my Dad voted for Obama. They canceled each other out, oh wait, NOOOO Kucinich!!

I'm Lost

I've lost so many friends. I really have limited people to even enjoy my time with now..

School isn't working out for me. My grades suck.

Choir is still a burden to me..even though I am trying hard to like it. Cabaret Night Auditions are Thursday... I don't even feel like singing anymore.

I am trusting you God. I know what ever you bring me, I can overcome, and because you brought me to it, you will also walk me out of it.

ELLLLLLLLL- AYYYYYYYYYYYE....PYAH!

I think I lost some good friends.

Clara told me I frustrate her? I don't know, but I really don't feel the need to treat her extra special...I don't know. I'm very sure I've lost most of these feelings for her. I thought that is a good thing?

To be honest, she told me that I am a trustworthy person to her, but she's not for me. I can't trust her. She's very naive and in a way, she hurts people by saying things and doing things. I remember specifically telling her not to mention certain things to people because it hurts them, and she would ask, "Why?" and then turns around and asks that person.

Honestly, I don't think very highly of her anymore. I think i tried really hard and that's why it turned out to be a hard thing to let go for me.

Some other people, like Wilson and Melissa. I don't see them anymore, nor do i know them much, but things happen.

Like what i once said to Tuff, "Friends are farts into the wind!" as funny as how that would be, it's kind of true. Friends don't last too long and only some friends walk with you forever.

I left last summer, and came back with people changed and different and I guess it was ahrd to cope with. I realized though, God is the most important for me now.

I'm glad I have a church family.

Btw, sorry Leslie, I wanted you to go to cell that day for a reason i can't tell you. I suck.
---------------

ACADEC! Basically, 6 months worth of work came down to one day's worth of 30 minute interval tests! haha, but it was really worth it! I'm glad I got to spend time with my awesome ACADEC team, even placing 7th for the first time in any round! haha

We beat La Puente, Glen A. Wilson, and Rowland. What a great day! We ate, we talked, we photographed, we cheered, we laugh! I will never forget experiences like these. Once again, being on the USC campus reinforces my understanding that the awesome campus of USC is indeed flawless within a ghetto neighborhood. haha

I am hoping to get at least THREE MEDALS this year. I don't have as much of a chance this eyar since we went up to Division II, but the studying and stuff really did help and I did go through the tests with quick relief and speed.

LA Pyah!!! We got it right! hahaha
